MOOSE KNUCKLES
POP-UP STORE - TORONTO
DESIGN LEAD - DESIGN SUPERVISION - 3D CONCEPT & DEVELOPMENT
Created for Moose Knuckles’ takeover of the Holt Renfrew Skybridge in Vancouver, Urban Glacier reimagined the retail journey as an immersive passage between two worlds : engineered for the tundra and designed for the city. Responding to the unique dual-entry architecture of the Skybridge, the concept invited visitors to experience the brand narrative from either direction, moving through a dramatic spatial gradient where raw wilderness gradually transformed into an urban landscape. Through a thoughtful interplay of color, texture, materials, and form, the installation showcased the versatility of the Moose Knuckles collection while reinforcing the brand’s distinctive identity.
At the center of the experience stood an imposing tundra tunnel, a sculptural intervention that immersed visitors in the rugged beauty of the Canadian wilderness. Natural textures and organic forms evolved into sleek metallic finishes and architectural lines, creating a seamless transition between the brand’s outerwear collections, from performance-driven winter essentials to lighter city-ready styles. Carefully choreographed merchandise displays established rhythm and movement throughout the space, encouraging exploration while maintaining clear sightlines across the bridge.
Designed with modularity and sustainability at its core, the pop-up utilized adaptable components that could be reconfigured for future activations without compromising visual impact. Signature moments, including a custom photo opportunity anchored by a bold blue statement sofa and a branded coffee cart activation, created opportunities for engagement and content creation while preserving the elevated "wow" factor of the space.
The result was a highly flexible retail environment that transformed a transitional space into a memorable brand destination, seamlessly blending nature, innovation, and urban sophistication.
