MIAMI NEWSSTAND ACTIVATION - MIAMI

DESIGN LEAD - 3D CONCEPT & DEVELOPMENT - ON-SITE MANAGEMENT

Designed to drive product discovery and authentic community engagement, SheaMoisture’s Miami pop-up transformed a classic newsstand into a vibrant destination celebrating textured hair, culture, and self-expression. Drawing inspiration from colorful streets, fruit markets, and relaxed porch culture, the activation invited guests into an immersive brand experience wrapped in the bright green hues of the featured product line, accented with bold tropical pops of colors through signage and fruits.

The experience reimagined the traditional newsstand as a multifunctional hub where beauty, culture, and storytelling intersected. A lively fruit stand featured fresh produce adorned with custom-branded stickers alongside product-filled crates and limited-edition magazines created exclusively for the event.

Fresh-pressed juices, product sampling, and curated gift bags encouraged guests to engage with the brand in a meaningful and memorable way.

At the heart of the activation was hair. An intimate salon environment, designed to evoke the feeling of a neighborhood porch, served as the backdrop for live styling demonstrations and conversations around textured hair care.

Custom hair-texture wallpaper, a striking wall of styling tools integrated into the newsstand, and expressive brand messaging—including a Lotería-inspired feature wall—celebrated the beauty and diversity of natural hair, creating a welcoming space that felt less like a retail experience and more like friends gathering to share beauty rituals and stories.
